Fawn Mckay

Fawn McKay was born in Ogden Utah on September 15 1915. She was a member of the Mormon Church's first family Fawn McKay devoted her brilliant writing talents as well as her remarkable abilities in research to create an amazing psycho-historical account of Joseph Smith, published in 1945. The book was titled No Man is able to know My History. This title comes from a funeral sermon delivered by Joseph Smith, the Church of Latter-Day Saints' founder. My story is not known to anybody. The truth is I'm not even sure. Fawn (29 years old) said that, she has been honest since the moment she made her statement, three-hundred writers have risen to the event. Certain writers have deified and even abused his character, whereas others have attempted to diagnose the problem. There isn't a problem because there's not enough evidence but rather they are wildly divergent. This is the task--sifting out personal testimony from third party plagiarism and fitting Mormon-and non-Mormon-narratives into a mosaic of credible theology. It's both thrilling and instructive. It's a task which Fawn Brodie devoted herself professionally. Her work in research and writing brought her fame around all over the globe: Thaddeus Stephens. The Devil drives (1959). Thomas Jefferson. A personal history of Richard Nixon (1974) as well as the posthumously Richard Nixon.
