Amy Smart, an American actress and former model. She was born and raised in California USA she started her modelling professional career in Italy. The first time she acted was in the TV production Her Costly Affair. It took a long time to be a part of Starship Troopers in a smaller part. The transition was difficult for Amy because she had to move from modelling into acting. Models aren't regarded as the best actors and so tend to get smaller, insignificant roles. Amy did her best to get noticed and eventually she was offered bigger roles starting with The 70s, the movie Varsity Blues. Amy was then promoted to lead roles in the love story Just Friends starring Ryan Reynolds. Amy was finally recognized for her efforts in the last 10 years. She did some big films within the Crank trilogy with Jason Statham. And she was also a regular character on the Shameless series.
